๐ How to copy trade on Polymarket, step by step
Copy a Polymarket trader from Telegram in five steps โ open Polyfox, pick a wallet from its public history, set your limits, fund, and see the first copy.
Copying a Polymarket trader takes five steps, and nothing is spent until the fourth โ funding. You open the bot, shortlist a wallet from its public on-chain record, set how much of your money each copy may use, fund the wallet, and the bot mirrors the trader's next trades under your limits โ reporting every one. Each step below links to the detailed page.
In 10 seconds
- Everything before funding is free โ browsing wallets and configuring a copy costs nothing.
- Deposit minimum $10 (USDC/USDT on 6 networks); minimum $1 per copied trade.
- Copies that size below your per-trade minimum are skipped, not bumped up; below the $1 platform floor the default is a $1 buy (you can turn that off).
- Every copy sends a notification; pause or delete at any time, and your positions stay yours.
Step 1 โ Open the bot
Open Polyfox in Telegram and press Start. The bot creates a normal Polygon wallet for you โ you can export its private key at any time. No deposit is needed to look around. Full walkthrough: Getting started.
Step 2 โ Browse Smart Wallets
Open ๐ Copy Trade โ the Smart Wallets list: Polymarket wallets ranked by a Score (50โ100) computed from their historical trades. For each wallet you see historical PnL, win rate and links to its Polymarket profile and full PolygonScan history โ public data you can check yourself.
Take your time here. The Score shortlists wallets worth a closer look; it is not a recommendation, and every figure describes past trades. How to read a trader's history explains what each number does and does not tell you โ and you can backtest any wallet with your exact settings over its past trades before you commit anything.
Step 3 โ Configure the copy
Tap Copy trade on your chosen wallet (or โ Create Copy Trade and paste any wallet address). The settings that matter first:
- Sizing โ a percentage of the target's trade or a fixed dollar amount. Platform minimum: $1 per copied trade.
- Min per trade โ copies sizing below it are skipped, never quietly raised. Separately, copies under the $1 platform floor are bought at exactly $1 by default (Below Min Limit, Buy at Min โ turn it off to have those skipped too).
- Limits โ max per trade (copies above it are capped), price bands, take-profit/stop-loss, and slippage โ how much worse than the trader's price your copy may fill (default: 30% on both buys and sells; both can be tightened). You can tune everything later.
Every option is documented on Copy trading โ including which positions a copy is allowed to sell, and Fast copy (acting on a trade a few seconds before it confirms on-chain).
Step 4 โ Fund it
Nothing is copied until the copy is funded, and nothing is spent at setup. Send USDC or USDT ($10 minimum) on Polygon, OP, Base, Ethereum, BSC or Arbitrum to your deposit address โ it is converted to pUSD automatically, the dollar balance you trade with, and the bot messages you when funds are ready. Full flow and the unsupported-network warning: Deposits.
Sizing note: with a small balance, many percentage-sized copies fall below the $1 minimum and get skipped, so the copy tracks the trader loosely. The bot suggests $100+ for closer tracking โ deposit what you are comfortable risking, and remember positions can lose all of their value.
Step 5 โ Your first copy
From here the bot works on its own, within your rules:
- The wallet you copy places a trade on Polymarket.
- Polyfox sizes a mirrored order by your settings โ and skips it if it falls outside your bands.
- Executed, failed or skipped, you get a notification โ for executed copies, with market, direction, size and your fill price, plus PolygonScan links. Polyfox's flat 1% trading fee applies to executed copies.
You stay in control throughout: pause or delete the copy any time, tune filters as you learn, and withdraw whenever you want. Deleting a copy never sells anything by itself โ positions it opened stay yours, and you can sell them whenever you choose from ๐ฆ Positions, like any other position.
Copying mirrors a wallet's future trades; its past record is historical data, not a forecast, and positions can lose all of their value. This guide is informational, not investment advice โ see Legal notes.
